Over half of the labyrinths we created have been replicas of the Chartres labyrinth in France, which contains incredible sacred geometry. 

 

We wondered what that means to a child who needs a transplant or is so severely injured they need to be hospitalized. And that is where the idea of creating a butterfly came From. 

 

As people walk this labyrinth, we intend that they will experience the process of transformation or metamorphosis from the chrysalis at the entrance to the center, where they will arrive as the beautiful butterfly.

 

Creating this labyrinth for the Children, Families, and the Staff at Le Bonheur Hospital was a gift and an honor.
