STANDING BEAR PARK
PONCA CITY, OK

A part of the beauty of this design is that it weaves together three important spiritual beliefs. The sacred hoop is central to the belief of many native American cultures. They symbolize all that is.

The interlocking hoops form pointed oval shapes called Vesica Piscis. That is reminiscent of medieval and contemporary Christian art and architecture.

And the seven paths that surround the center can be found on labyrinths dating back to at least 3200 years.
